It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?

It’s Monday! What are you Reading? is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journeys. It is a great way to recap what you read and/or reviewed the previous week and to plan out your reading and reviews for the upcoming week. It’s also a great chance to see what others are reading right now…who knows, you might discover that next “must read” book!

Reviews Posted Last Week:
Bones of the Lost by Kathy Reichs
Dead Witch Walking by Kim Harrison

What I Read Last Week:

I didn’t particularly care for this book. I found there were just far too many characters mentioned early in the book that it was nearly impossible to remember them all. The story was okay but I felt fairly lost in the world itself so my overall feeling towards this book is fairly low. I’ll be posting a review of this book later in the month.

What I Plan To Read This Week:

I’m on vacation this week so the chances of me reading a full book are pretty slim.

What have you read recently? Were they as good as you had hoped or just alright? What books do you plan to read this week?

    • I’ve heard The Song of Achilles is really good. It’s something I have on my to-read list, likely will get it from the library once I clear out my current reading queue.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a great reading week.

  1. Ohhh I have trouble with books that introduce a ridiculous number of characters too soon. It’s just overwhelming. Totally hear ya!

Last week I finished Bacon and Egg Man by Ken Wheaton, and I Await the Devil’s Coming by Mary MacLane. I’m reading The Interestings and Fakebook now.

    • I don’t mind if the book as a whole has tons of characters but right at the start it’s just not appealing and in the case of The Companions far too overwhelming. I can’t say that I have heard of any of those books, hope you enjoyed them.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a great reading week.
