It’s Monday! What are you Reading? is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. It is a great way to recap what you read and/or reviewed the previous week and to plan out your reading and reviews for the upcoming week. It’s also a great chance to see what others are reading right now…who knows, you might discover that next “must read” book!
What I Read Last Week:
When I saw this book up for review I had to read it. I loved the show Murder, She Wrote and a book written by one of it’s producers instantly grabbed me. While I enjoyed Me And Murder, She Wrote I didn’t find it as amazing as I had hoped it would be. I will be posting a full review of this book in the near future.
Oh what can I say about Bellman & Black now that I finally managed to bring myself to finish this book. In short I didn’t like it. For the long version of why I didn’t like it look for my review on October 31.
The Martian was one of those books I requested on a whim. I haven’t read much science fiction lately and decided this would be a good one to pick up. It was better than I thought it would be but didn’t blow me away either. I’ll be posting a review of this book in the beginning of November.
I have a blog tour coming up next month for Lethal Circuit and decided it was time to listen to this audiobook to get prepared for the tour. At first I wasn’t sure what to expect but by the end I was completely surprised by how much this story pulled me in. I will save the rest of my thoughts on this one until the blog tour in mid November.
I listened to the audiobook of The Story of Dr. Dolittle and I really enjoyed it. I think it’s one of the best classics that I have read/listened to this year. I wasn’t one hundred percent satisfied with the narration on this one, but I will hold off explaining why until I post the full review some time in the future.
What I Plan To Read This Week:
I’m fighting a nasty cold at the moment so not entirely sure how much reading I will get done this week. I’m hoping to at least get through The Dragons of Jupiter. The author, Jacob Solo, was kind enough to give me a copy of this book to review. It sounds like my kind of story so I’m definitely looking forward to it, even if this cold is making reading an outright chore at the moment.
What have you read recently? Were they as good as you had hoped or just alright? What books do you plan to read this week?
