October 2016 Wrap-Up

wrapup

With November here it’s time to look back on the reading I did in October. The month started off pretty slow reading wise, in fact I didn’t finish a single book until October 22, when I participated in the 24 Hour Read-A-Thon.

So what did I read in October?

  • Ahsoka by E.K. Johnston
  • Fairest of All by Serena Valentino
  • Prophecy of Darkness by Ru Emerson
  • The Beast Within by Serena Valentino
  • Murder At The Powderhorn Ranch by Jessica Fletcher
  • Havoc by Ann Aguirre
  • Cardwell Christmas Crime Scene by B.J. Daniels

The month was decently busy as well. We were gone visiting family during the first week. It was fun, tiring and good to get out of the way before the winter weather comes and seals us into town for several months. This also gave us the opportunity to go see a movie in the theater (something we rarely get to do), so we ended up seeing The Magnificent Seven, which we enjoyed quite a bit. We got to do quite a few fun things, like visiting The Ripley’s Aquarium in Toronto, going to the Brigden Fair and getting all kinds of shopping done (mostly for Christmas). Getting to eat at an all you can eat Sushi restaurant was pretty awesome as well.

After vacation, we tried to play catch up on all the things we should have done weeks before – the weather had been really nice in late September, which meant we didn’t get everything outside done like we normally would have. I also got a chance to watch a number of movies and TV shows over the month. The 1989 Batman movie, The Addams Family, Addams Family Value, the last three and a half season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and episodes from Live Free Or Die and Alaska: The Last Frontier. I also played quite a bit of Star Wars: The Old Republic. All in all I have to say that October was a pretty good month overall, and I look forward to what November has in store.
