Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week is Books I Really Liked but Can’t Remember Anything/Much About.

I feel like…this is nearly every book I have read. Honestly, I can’t remember the details of all those books I read in the past that I loved. Heck, some times I can’t even remember what happened in a book I read only a few days ago, even though I enjoyed the story. Memory is a funny thing. So, I’ll just randomly pick books that I remember little to nothing about because otherwise, I might as well just link my entire Read shelf from Goodreads.

  1. The Courtship of Princess Leia by Dave Wolverton. This was the first Star Wars books I read, and it was 15 or so years ago. I really enjoyed this book, but the details are extremely vague. I know there were Dathomir witches and Nightsisters and umm…other things. Yeah, I’m going to need to reread this one at some point.
  2. Matilda by Roald Dahl. I have read this book a number of times over the years, but it never really sticks with me fully. I guess that’s good in a way, since it means I get to enjoy rereading it.
  3. The Mountains Call by Caitlin Brennan. Another book I read years ago and loved, but I can’t remember a darn thing about it outside of magic and horses. I actually plan to reread this trilogy soon.
  4. The Wayfarer Redemption by Sara Douglass. I absolutely loved this trilogy when I read it several years ago, but now I can’t remember a single thing about. I am hoping that I have a chance to reread it this year.
  5. Guardian of Honor by Robin D. Owens. This was the first book that I bought when I got my Kindle several years ago, and outside of it containing some magic or something, I honestly can’t remember a darn thing. I would like to reread this one and possibly continue on with the series at some point.
  6. Night of Cake & Puppets by Laini Taylor. This is a more recent read from a few months ago, but be damned if I can remember much about it.
  7. Misty of Chincoteague by Marguerite Henry. I adored this entire series as a kid, in fact I read it so much I wore out two different sets of these books, but I can’t remember much from them sadly.
  8. Watership Down by Richard Adams. I first read this one fifteen or so years ago, loved it and even reread it once or twice after that. But ask me what it’s about? Well..there are bunnies in it. That’s about all I remember.
  9. Jaina Proudmoore: Tides of War by Christie Golden. It’s been about five years since I read this one and I don’t remember much. I do remember enjoying it quite a bit. One of these days I will reread it and all the other World of Warcraft books.
  10. Under The Empyrean Sky by Chuck Wendig. I think there were mutant crops in this one? I really should reread this book, since I never did finish the trilogy but wanted to.

    • I have watched a movie a number of times as well, one of them fairly recently, and I still can’t recall the whole story. It’s hard not to love Roald Dhal’s stories no matter how many times I read/watch them.
